Using only images, illustrate & explain the life, death, genius & madness of Vincent van Gogh.
Today's class is a reflection on the context of course content. You should work to synthesize your answer as a group in the context of each of the lessons you've encountered thus far. A gentle word of caution, there is significant disagreement about virtually every aspect of this investigation.

Today's challenges?
1. Differentiate between Husserl, Heidegger & Ingarden by schools of a common theory of Aesthetics. Using their ideas, examine the same image(s) and describe each as they might have done.
(You can do this as a group, but you'll each need to write a reflection on the outcome, and then each need to do the exercise with an image that you select individually.) Devious Journey - Part 2
Our devious journey continues with an investigation of deviantArt itself. Over the past week many of the aspiring artists in the course have posted their first deviations. Congratulations are in order! It takes some courage to put yourself out there - especially as you first learn a new tool and attempt to master its peculiarities - but many of those in the journey have done so and I think you should be applauded for some very exciting first efforts.
